(This is for the electronics department)I have two big issues with this Harvey Norman:The first is that they seem to always have issues keeping stuff in stock. Every time I've gone in to buy things, they are sold out of something.The second is the wait to get service. I get that sometimes stores are busy, but having to wait 20 minutes to even speak to a salesperson is a bit much. That doesn't seem so long on paper, but I never have to wait that long when I go to an equally-busy JB Hi Fi store. Given that you do get to speak to someone AND the stuff you want is in stock, the customer service is decent, and the staff will usually price-match or bundle in accessories for you at a discount.
This is regarding the ELECTRICAL DEPT ONLY. I had terrible service here yesterday after going to collect an online order which I had phoned and was told by two people that it was ready to collect. Not only was it not ready, I was told they didn't even make the product anymore; then that they just weren't stocking the product anymore; then that I couldn't have the demo ones because they needed to have a demo, even though they apparently don't stock them anymore! Then I was told it should have said something to that effect on the website, to which I replied that clearly it didn't or I wouldn't have purchased them, let alone manage to checkout and pay for them online! So I was effectively lied to, then called a liar, all while still being offered no solution! I've always had great experiences with other staff in other departments, but I had the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER FROM THE ELECTRICAL DEPT.
Staff very willing to help and very knowledgeable of the products. Unlike some other stores of the same nature Harvey Norman has a good number of staff present to assist patrons so that one is not frustrated by the lack of employees on the floor.Handicap access is easy and enough space is generally available in the aisles. Staff willing to assist in making additional space for oversized wheelchairs to the best of their ability.
Great service always. I have been a customer of the for years and well looked after after. Can't wait to do more shopping. Cheers Peter.
Cannot speak highly enough of Simon, Scott and Craig in the electrical and home appliances sections. These guys have been amazing in their sales and after sales service. Would recommend shopping with them to everyone.
