Bought laptop online, the laptop I ended up getting came from Cairns Good Guys. Note that this poor review is not for Cairns store. It is for Good Guys online. The laptop was advertised with a banner stating $180 cash back. I have bought several items previous to this using 'cashback' promotion. In this case I was informed after purchasing that there is no promotion and the $180 cash back is part of gold concierge scheme. I note that nowhere do they mention $180 cash back when you click on gold concierge scheme. Well played Good Guys. I'll take all further business to JB Hifi
Needed service, waited for 15 min no luck, walked out, came back 20 min later to the same thing. They were the only shop that had what i needed. Again went back and waited for ages tried to get there attention with no luck again. So i had to interrupt a worker to get satisfaction. Just because you dont work in that area at least hold the customer to get the sale. PR Goodguys. Got what i needed in the end.
Have just had a dishwasher changed over. Being a tennant of the property it was being changed over in we were advised that the dishwasher would be installed and removed. The driver arrived wheeled in the new one in a box and proceeded to disconnect the old machine. Doing this they filled the cupboard with water and all over the floor and also a trail of water from the trolley as they wheeled the old one on the way out. When we asked if they were taking the rubish and cleaning upWe were then advised they do not clean up the mess........When asked about unpacking and hooking up the new dishwasher, they said in 13 years of deliveries that they do not do that and that we were lucky to have the old one being taken away. The drivers could not get out of there quick enough.Regardless if they are contractors or not they are representing the Good Guys. Absolutely poor service in all area.
I have been shopping at Good Guys Cairns for a good part of a decade now and I'm always impressed with the new layouts, products and knowledgeable staff. They always have stock and always give the best price in town. I've tried other stores and good guys are always 10-20% cheaper. They even delivered same day for me! Thank you to all the staff!
