Just a few comments on the Cairns Libraries situation. I have used Raintrees, Edmonton and Gordonvale Branches....mostly Edmonton. I have found the service offered is fantastic. Easy to go onto the website to see whats available, and after a quick browse,so simple to reserve copies of whatever books etc you might require. Plenty of time to complete reading your choices, and if you need an extension, it requires a quick click of the mouse to alter that.Excellent service, E-mail and Sms messages to keep you up to date when books are available, and reminders sent when copies are to be returned. Cannot fault this wonderful service....Well Done......We should be so proud of what is offered.
This is a historical building and whilst I don't usually go into libraries I have found a bit on local wildlife and waterfalls and surrounds which was really useful and not as overwhelming as the internet can sometimes be with whats real and whats not
I love coming to the library, however, the opening hours should be 9am. 10am is too late in the morning
If this library was in downtown Sydney I wouldn't give it five stars, but for being in a small city like Cairns, it's wonderful
Nice place to sit, relax, work and read. Staff members are very polite and always ready to help. My kids like to go there again and again.
