Standard BWS shop, can't complain about that. But, young lad behind the counter must of had his underpants in a knot for some reason (maybe a bad hair day). Did not want to converse what so ever, threw my change on counter even though my hand was evidently outstretched to recive those hard earnt bucks back. Thought Cairns was a friendly city. The young lady made this bottle shop visit fun. She absolutely radiates vibrant & positive energy. She warmly greeted everyone as they came into the shop like we were old friends & came out from behind the counter to point out sale items & to help customers find what they were looking for. Contrast & compare this happy & helpful young lady with the young fellow who works here on alternate days to her. He reminded me of the jaded & depressed love child of Beavis & Butthead on Valium. He greeted us with barely an expressionless grunt. There was no one in the shop & we asked him where a certain product was. He just pointed from behind the counter & barely moving his mouth mumbled, over there somewhere. You know... the usual kind of service youd normally expect these days. The reason I gave 5 stars is for the sales service from the young lady who works here. She is a great people person & has a great future ahead of her.
Decent selection of beer, nice guys behind the counter.
Lots of variety and they had good sales on wine!
All the New Zealand Pinot Noir did not taste as they should be. Still wondering why it is so. Will not step into this shop again.
