When I arrived in Cairns, I wasn't exactly sure on how to proceed with booking my trip down the East Coast, so I headed into Backpackers World Travel in Cairns. Juul was full of ideas and advice on what to do whilst travelling down the coast, she planned it all out to how I wanted it, and then had it written down on a calendar for me just in case. My boyfriend and I arrived in Cairns with no clue what to do or how to spend our month in Australia. Walking around Cairns city we saw Backpackers World Travel and it looked really nice so we went in just to find out some information. 2 hours later!!! After speaking with Juul we had come up with a plan. She is Dutch and had travelled around Australia many times so she had some great tips for us as budget travellers what to do and what not to do. We agreed to overthink some things and then come back to finalise everything. We ended up booking a skydive in Mission Beach, 3 different packages including Magnetic Island, Whitsundays and Fraser Island and a greyhound hop on/off bus all the way to Brisbane. She gave us lots of info on how to travel between Brisbane to Sydney then Sydney to Melbourne, what is worth doing and what we shouldnt bother doing. Juul is just so passionate about Australia and her getting so excited and happy about the things she was telling just made us excited. We now have a full plan of what to do and are less stressed. Other people we have seen working at this place are so cheeful and friendly, highly recommend coming here if you need help with Oz, NZ or any local trips in Cairns. Today we booked two tours at Backpackers World Travel. We have a really tight schedule and it was pretty hard to find some tours that would fit our schedule.
