My only bad experience with Elixr bar is with the disgusting attitude of the gentleman who runs the open mic on a Wednesday. But, it was that bad, that it justifies the 1 star. It was an intolerant atmosphere, controlled and regulated by who your friends are, not what you can play. Bar staff are lovely, but the event organizer or whatever, Eli, has no tolerance for even the slightest traces of perceived mental illness or difference in opinion. If you don't fit within a very strict box as a person, you will not feel welcome on a Wednesday night.
Best place for live music of all genres and friendly staff, the food is yummy , good place to meet friends ,highly recommend elixir for a cool night out .
Brilliant little Blues and Tapas bar. Great local gin, and the platter for two was delicious. Would like to see a bit more in the menu that is actually tapas, but really enjoyed the atmosphere and the band. Highly recommended!
The best place in Cairns to kick back eat some tapas , have a nice drink and listen to jazz and blues.I love it. It is just a bit different than your average fair.
A small and intimate venue. Great line up of different entertainment thru the week. Drinks always cold. Service with a smile..
